4 August 2011

The company AVK won the first place in the competition “The best trade-marketing project in Ukraine”. An award was given within the scope of the annual specialized forum – Trade Marketing in Ukraine 2011. The greatest number of jury members participating in the Forum voted for the case of the company AVK – “Mobile chocolate museum”. Experts in the sphere of trade marketing evaluated the originality of ideas, quality of their implementation and effectiveness of the promotional event of the participating projects.

“At the start of the “Chocolate Museum” project, our team set itself primarily social and communicational goals: to deepen the target audience’s knowledge of chocolate, increase the culture of consumption and get new qualitative emotional contact with our consumers”, says Director of Sales of AVK, Roman Babets. “However, at the end, we also obtained a significant commercial impact. In cities where the exhibition took place, we have observed significant spikes in sales throughout all ten months of the operation of the museum. In addition, we managed to improve cooperation with retailers and in-line retailers and increase the end customers’ loyalty to our product, as well as to the category in general”.

As of today, Chocolate Museum opened by the company AVK has visited 11 regions of Ukraine and became an international project, which opens a door for Russian consumers. The museum has already been visited by more than 88 thousand people, and this number grows every day. Inquisitive sweet-tooths can learn more about the history of chocolate, subtleties of modern production, useful properties of the product, and its high-quality taste samples, as well as participating in competitions, and getting sight of the national record – a heart made of 15,000 chocolate bars. Impressed visitors have expressed their approval by leaving benevolent reviews and even drawings in comments books, recording their emotions on 12 thousand pages.

“It was the good emotions and enthusiastic drive of the AVK team that won all the hearts of the professional audience of Forum”, says Project Manager of Trade Marketing in Ukraine, Artem Shlapak. “However, in my experience, experts-practitioners evaluated not only the creativity and social focus of the museum. What was crucial for the evaluation was the efficiency of this communication. With this project, the company AVK consolidated its reputation as an expert in the production of chocolate, and in promoting the culture of consumption, as well”.

On these days, the AVK’s Chocolate Museum continues to work in Zhytomyr and Kharkiv, since August 7 it will open its door to residents of Ternopil. In addition, to the “sweet” excursion in the museum, citizens of Ternopil will be able to visit a great chocolate feast and entertaining competitions that will take place on the main town square.
