Sweets by AVK won high marks of the International Institute for Taste and Quality

The chocolate sweets “Cream&Cherry” and “Truffle Original” produced by the AVK Company received several awards in the competition Superior Taste Award 2011 (“Award for excellent taste 2011”). The competition is held in Belgium by the International Institute for Taste and Quality (International Taste & Quality Institute, iTQi) once a year. It distinguishes the best products and beverages from more than 80 countries.
The ITQi is a leading independent organization of master chefs and sommeliers who devote themselves to the expert assessment of food and drinks with the best taste and quality characteristics. The jury of the iTQi includes 120 prominent master chefs and connoisseurs of fine wines from 12 European culinary associations.
“Winning a prestigious award from the International Institute for Taste and Quality confirms the consistent quality and excellent taste of chocolate sweets produced by AVK”, says Director of Marketing of AVK, Alexander Lavrov. “Recognition of our products not only by our consumers in over 20 countries, where they have been successfully sold, but also by competent experts, inspires us to create new confectionery masterpieces”.
With more than 900 specimens exposed to test for winning Superior Taste Award this year, only 73% received the jury’s approval. In particular, according to the multi-level test results, the “Cream&Cherry” candy won over 81 points, which means that it gets “two stars” (excellent taste).
The ITQi award is granted only to those products whose organoleptic properties obtain at least 70 points out of 100 possible. During this test, specimens are subject to a blind study: experts consider only the gustatory qualities of the tested product (it is not compared with others) and jury focuses exclusively on evaluating the pleasure of eating the particular product. Jury members (each on its own), evaluate and consider the organoleptic criteria of the product (first impressions, appearance, aroma, texture, taste and aftertaste).
The company AVK brought the products, which have won awards in the second half of 2010, to the market. Cream&Cherry is a novelty in the category of chocolate gift boxes. This sweet consists of an Italian cherry, cream filling and delicate wafers in white chocolate glaze with décor.
Until recently, no other confectionery company has succeeded in combining these ingredients. Implementation of this complicated innovation took two years of challenging researches and refinement of the product formula.
The finished candy has a slight sweet taste with a touch of acidity, which harmoniously complements the taste of cherry. The main component of the filling of this candy is a natural yoghurt, which serves as an extra benefit for the most demanding consumers who follow a healthy lifestyle.
“Truffle Original” is a dark chocolate candy presented in a by-weight format. This amazing new product offers customers a unique combination of delicate truffle filling, which melts in the mouth, in the finest chocolate coating.
The shape of the product (a sweet ball) allows customers to fully enjoy the exquisite taste of a candy. In addition, the particular combination of the ingredients and hard work of technologists, which has resulted in the unique formula of these sweets, allowed us to offer Ukrainian consumers delicate truffle candies at an affordable price.
