Volodymyr Avramenko: the foundation of the country's economy and the driver of development is entrepreneurship

Volodymyr Avramenko, the founder of the AVK company, took part in one of the most significant business events in Ukraine - the Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF), which took place in the capital.

For the fifth year in a row, the forum has become a meeting place for business leaders, successful reformers, prominent economists, experts, ambassadors and scholars. KIEF-2018 has united more than 2000 participants around the discussion of issues relevant for economic development of the country. Within two days, over 115 speakers from 30 countries of the world have given a speech in the course of panel discussions.

Volodymyr Avramenko gave the speech in a panel discussion, in the course of which the well-known entrepreneurs shared their business secrets and experience in overcoming "pitfalls" on their way to success.

“I will always be proud of the fact that I have an experience in entrepreneurship equal to the age of independent Ukraine. In those days, the first entrepreneurs were subject to suspicion. I recall how I felt public attitude with all the fibers of my soul. Today, I am glad that everything has changed and society has realized: the country does not exist without the economy. And the foundation of the economy and the driver of development is entrepreneurship”, Volodymyr Fedorovych stated. Addressing the young entrepreneurs, he added: “So, do not be afraid of developing your business, even if it seems to be nontypical to the society.”

Answering the moderator’s questions as to what the success was, the company’s founder emphasized that there were many reasons for pride on his way, a lot more ahead, but the AVK foundation would remain most significant thing: “The birth of my company is the first big success. I had been cherishing that idea for a year, and not many people supported me very much then. But I felt that it was my thing and believed in success from the beginning”.

Volodymyr Avramenko has also told about an interesting page in the history of the company – a period when the investment fund for helping young countries, founded by the government of America, knocked at the door. “Our cooperation lasted for 13 years. It was nice to hear from the head of the fund, that we became their most successful investment. It was our essence not in words but in deed. And, later, I found out that 50 % of the money received by the American government were transferred to scholarships for Ukrainian students who studied in America. There are such things that you cannot measure in money”, - emphasized the businessman.
